Thirteen years running and it just keeps getting better. Dogs in costumes, at Liberty Lands, for a genuinely good cause. Every vendor there is helping Street Tails Animal Rescue get homeless dogs into homes, which makes this one of my favorite reasons to set up a table all year. Bring your dog. Bring someone else's dog if you have to.

The whole avenue shuts down for this one every Halloween. Pumpkin carving, costume contests for kids and dogs, live music, and trick-or-treating up and down East Passyunk. I'll be set up in the vendor market the whole time. Come for the candles, stay to watch the dog costume contest, it's always the best part.
